Red Yeast Rice?
Last weekend, I heard Dr. Rosenfeld say something about the main ingredient for reducing cholesterol in red yeast rice being taken out of the otc pills on the market. He did say that there is one brand that still has it. Does anyone know what brand still carries this active ingredient? I cannot for the life of me remember.

- Red yeast rice (Monascus purpureus). I think the brand is Cholestin™ , produced by Pharmanex, Inc. Here is a link to Cholestin: http://www.pharmanex.com/corp/product/solutions/cholestin.shtml Further info: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/red-yeast-rice/NS_patient-redyeast Best wishes.
