  1. This is essentially nonsurvivable. Contact a lawyer now, as the compensation for damages may be much higher while he is still alive rather than later.
  2. This is from the National Cancer Institite (NCI) website, which is quite good and reputable. http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/pdq/treatment/malignantmesothelioma/patient/ This is a difficult disease to treat successfully, although there are some improvements in the chemotherapy given for this disease. Best bet would be to look into clinical trial options locally; could also look into clinical trials at NCI in Bethesda, Maryland. Advantage there is that they frequently have clinical trials for tough diseases, and also if he is enrolled on a trial there, they will cover ALL expenses, including air travel if needed. See here http://www.cancer.gov/clinicaltrials/search God bless, and best wishes

  4. I found these links for you. I am sorry for what your grandfather is going through. My Dad is a cancer survivor and I completely understand how hard it is to watch someone suffer from this awful disease. http://womans-health.net/mesothelioma/Diagnosing-Mesothelioma.php
