Are Blacks proud of Gen. Colin Powell or Dr. Condoleezza Rice?

Or are only Black Liberal Democrats counted as "making it" in American politics, What say you?

10. I don't know about blacks (I'm not black) but I'm proud of Colin Powell....but Condi Rice is as big of a BLACK MARK on American History as GW BUSH! She should be in jail as a terrorist! She ignored all warnings about 9/11 along with GWBUSH and is just as much a part of his mess as he is! Colin Powell on the other hand stood up for what was right and ethical...when he was shut out by the BUSH GANG he left rather than give in to their criminal behavior...that is a man of high moral standards!
11. I can see Gen Colin Powell because he at least admitted his mistake. I've seen him speak and he's pretty wise. However I do NOT see how they can look upon Condie Rice and be proud. She is Bush's protector and could have taken him down long ago. She chose to be loyal to him instead of the american people. Thousands died. Enough said.
12. I have a black friend that is very proud of Colin Powell and was disappointed when he did not run for president in 1996. I have not talked to her about Rice but would think she would be proud of her also just as my Irish Catholic inlaws were proud when Kennedy was elected.

15. I am proud of Powell. he is a man of honor who happens to belong to the wrong party. :) I think very little of Rice. She is what used to be known as an Uncle Tom, IMO.
16. Your statement is a classic overreach. It really is a shame what people think or assume about black people. I personally am proud of both of them. Do I agree with both of them on their issues, that's another question. I think it is a great thing when a black person achieves well beyond what would have been the unthinkable 50 years ago. So to answer your question, yes blacks are proud.
