Why Would Liberal Lou Dobbs Call Dr. Condi Rice a "Cotton Picker"?

16. He didn't refer to her as a "cotton picker" He referred to those politicians as cotton pickers. As in those politicians that sit up and talk the race issue.
17. He didn't say cotton picker. He said cotton, which is another word for "to assent or agree". In other words, for people who asserted that race is a difficult subject to deal with, which is not true.

Yes, he said (or started to) 'cotton picking'. he was speaking of all politicians who try to make the issue of race a political issue for their own gain. He wasn't even speaking specifically or solely of Rice in that moment. And he NEVER said cotton picker. It is clear in context that he was saying "these cotton pic... these miserable politicians...." I'm sure as any resonable person would be (without an agenda as you clearly have, to manipulate his words) that he was saying "these cotton picking politicians." a VERY common phrase used to express frustration. Racist, NO! And to claim otherwise is as disingenuous and dishonest as one can get in discussing politics.
